Jose Peseiro hails Nigeria U20 after mauling Capital City ahead of Zambia friendly

Nigeria head coach Jose Peseiro has heaped praise on Nigeria U20 following a 4-0 victory over Capital City Football Academy in a friendly match on Tuesday at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project pitch in Abuja.
The tune-up game was in preparation for the friendly against Zambia U-20 ahead of 2023 U-20 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt, with the match taking place on Saturday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
Goals from Samson Lawal, Agbalaka Solomon, Olamilekan Adams, and Yahaya Ibrahim ensured the Flying Eagles extended their unbeaten run to sixteen games.
Delighted Peseiro, while speaking with Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso said the team has a lot of quality and is convinced that the U20 boys will put up a performance in Egypt.
The Portuguese gaffer was at the match venue together with NFF Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen and Super Eagles Team Administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor.
The Flying Eagles are expected to play Zambia U-20 men’s team on Saturday before the team depart for Morocco on Wednesday next week. Awaiting Nigeria at the U-20 AFCON include hosts Egypt, Senegal, and Uganda.
