Joy Omewa’s goal inspires Fortuna Hjorring to victory against Brondby

Nigeria forward, Joy Omewa played crucial role in helping her Danish Elitedivisionen women’s side, Fortuna Hjorring to a 2-1 win over Brondby in the a league encounter on Sunday.

The former Confluence Queens star broke the deadlock for her team in the 15th minute of play.

11 minutes later, Julia Tavlo-Petersson equalised for the visitors.

The leveler doesn’t deter the host from getting the desired result with the winning goal before the end of the first period.

Anastasia Pobegaylo set up American defender, Renee Guion who scored in the 45th minute.

Omewa saw 46 minutes of action before she was replaced by Mathilde Carstens.

The goal took her rally to tally in the league this season.

Fortuna Hjorring occupy the fifth position on the table with 17 points after 11 games.
