Julliet Sunday and Bassey at the double in Gintra’s thrashing of Vilnius

Nigerian duo of Julliet Sunday and Bassey scored for their Lithuania side, FC Gintra in their 5-0 bashing of Vilnius on Sunday.

The two players scored two goals each for the league winners at the BFA Maniežas, Vilnius.

Laura Kubiliute scored the other goal which ensured a healthy triumph.

The win ensured that Gintra maintained their leadership position on the A Lyga log with 50 points after 18 games.

As a result of their continental engagement in the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) Qualifiers, the team has three outstanding games.

MFA Zalgiris in second place has the same points as Gintra but has played three games more.

Gintra has only dropped four points so far this season.

The team will next face Hegelmann in another league encounter on October 21.
