Kano Government agrees to host Nigeria National League Playoffs

The government of Kano State has granted the request of the Nigeria National League, NNL board to host the league’s relegation playoffs.
The playoffs will determine four clubs that retain their status in the country’s second tier league after the conclusion of the an abridged 2022/2023 season.
The statement released from the hosting government on Tuesday disclosed that Sani Abacha Stadium has been approved as the venue for the playoffs.
Adamawa United, ABS FC, Sokoto United and FWC Cahmpions FC are the four clubs from the Northern Conference while the Southern Conference teams will have Smart City FC, Ikorodu City, Edel FC and Hensard FC for the playoffs.
The arrival date for clubs and officials had been fixed for the 5th of August while the playoffs will run from the 6th of August to the 10th of August 2023.
