Kebbi State Government pledges support for beach soccer after NSBL triumph

The Government of Kebbi State has expressed their utmost support for the beach soccer team in the state.
Kebbi Beach Soccer Club (BSC) reclaimed the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) title on Sunday, becoming the only side to have won the domestic league crown twice after claiming the maiden edition in 2021.
Following their latest triumph, the state government is renewing its support to most ranked club in Africa.
“I am happy that you have started just like a local Salah event and within a short time grown into an international standard to the extent of representing Africa and also attending international events,” Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida told pressmen during Final Phase of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League.
“On behalf of our Governor, I wish to congratulate you all for your success so far as also to give you the assurance from the Governor.
“The Governor and Government of Kebbi State is willing to give you all the necessary support it requires to achieve much more in this sporting activity.”
The Kebbi side have won two of the three editions of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League in 2021 and 2023 respectively.
In another development, the club will also represent the country at another international competition in Italy. The World Winners Cup in Italy which Kebbi Fishers will participate in is organised by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW).
