Kwara United captain Kabiru Balogun tasks IMC on transparency and rule compliance

Captain of Kwara United, Kabiru Balogun has urged the leadership of the Interim League Management Committee (IMC) not to bend the rules of the Nigeria Professional Football League 2022/2023 season.
According to the IMC, they have laid down a strict punishment for erring clubs this season, which includes the deduction of three points if home teams put up act of violence.
As teams and players continue their preparation ahead of the domestic league kickoff on January 8, the Harmony Boys skipper appealed to the NPFL organisers to follow its regulations and ensure transparency in match officiating.
“As for the important thing in the league, the IMC should address the rules to deduct three points if you fight at home, that one is good, if they don’t change it.
“The IMC should follow the rules and regulations they lay down, it will be better if they don’t change it.”
After early exit from the Caf Confederation Cup in 2022, Azzez Mohammed’s side will begin their campaign for a return to the continental competition in the new abridged season against newcomers Gombe United at home.
