Ladan Bosso backs under-fire goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu after fans’ backlash

Head coach of Nigeria U20 men’s team, Ladan Bosso has come out to defend his shot-stopper Nathaniel Nwosu following criticism from fans during Nigeria 4-2 victory over Zambia in Abuja.
First choice goalkeeper Nwosu conceded two goals from Derrick Bulaya brace ruining his clean sheet quest as the Flying Eagles edged the Cosafa champions at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium on Friday.
The fans, however expressed their frustrations with Bosso over the goalkeeper’s numerous errors but the gaffer is backing his top-choice goalkeeper Nwosu amidst the backlash during Nigeria win over the Chipolopolo.
“The same goalkeeper had been invited to the Super Eagles and the U-23 team after our WAFU-B victory. With what has happened now, the keeper knows that the challenges ahead of him are great.” Bosso told Brila FM.
“We are happy with this victory because the boys played a good match, yet the team is still a work in progress as we keep our focus on doing well in Egypt.”
Flying Eagles will head to a final training camp in Morocco on Wednesday.
