Ladan Bosso dismisses rumoured U23 appointment

Nigeria U20 head coach, Ladan Bosso, has refuted claims about his rumored appointment as the coach of the U23 national team.
Instead, Bosso has been announced as the new coach of Bayelsa United, marking a return to the club he has previously managed.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role with Bayelsa United, also known as the Prosperity Boys, Bosso aims to integrate NPFL players into the national team.
“I am in Yenagoa to finalize my appointment as the Head Coach of Bayelsa United,” Bosso was quoted by BSN Sports.
“It’s a good one because a National Team coach should be active and that will allow me to see other good players one can invite to the national team in the league.”
Bosso was taken aback by the rumors of his appointment to lead the Dream Eagles, categorically denying any contact with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) regarding the position.
“As for the U23 appointment, no one, not even the NFF has spoken with me about that. My contract with the NFF as Flying Eagles coach ended at the end of the FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.”
Bosso previously led the Flying Eagles to a quarter-final finish at the last FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.
