Lazio’s Marco Baroni challenges Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to boost mental toughness

Lazio manager Marco Baroni has challenged Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to sharpen his mental game as he continues to adapt to Serie A.
After his summer move from Turkish club Hatayaspor, Dele-Bashiru has shown promise but is still finding his footing in the league.
Baroni, who recognizes the midfielder’s potential—evidenced by his goal this season—stressed the importance of mental resilience for success at this level.
“Dele is a strong player with great potential,” Baroni Baroni concluded in a recent press conference.
“To truly excel, he must develop greater mental consistency. Coming from a different style of football can be a hurdle, and he needs to adjust to the rapid pace of thought in Serie A.
“He has the physical attributes and speed, but he must enhance his mental game, much like Tchaouna. Both players need time to adapt, but I know time is not always on our side.”
