Liverpool icon Barnes on Okocha’s skills: ‘He does it better than Ronaldo and Messi’

Former Liverpool and England star, John Barnes has ranked Nigeria football icon, Austin Okocha as the most skillful player in the world.
The former midfielder who is now a television pundit in a Weekly Sports Magazine Show on DSTV was speaking about the best African players to have played in the English Premier League.
The Three Lions legend insists that Okocha’s skills is way above Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, stressing that the Nigerian does skills that would have been done in training in a match situation which baffles a lot of persons.
“Okocha is the most skillful players in the world. He does it better than Ronaldo and Messi,” Barnes said.
“After him is Ronaldinho. He does what anyone would have done in a training session in a match. He is amazing to watch,” he concluded.
Okocha played for Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League and went on to make appearances scoring 14 goals.
The 49-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the greatest football players from Africa.
