Luton Town bids farewell to Victor Moses after single season

By Dayo Awoniyi

English Championship side Luton Town has officially confirmed the departure of Victor Moses, drawing the curtain on the former Nigeria international’s short stint at the club.

Moses, who previously starred for Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool, joined Luton Town last summer following the expiration of his contract with Spartak Moscow in Russia.

During his time at Kenilworth Road, the versatile winger made 18 appearances and scored one goal, providing experience and depth to the squad.

However, his stay has come to an end as part of Luton Town’s post-season squad reshuffle ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

In a statement released by the club, Luton expressed appreciation to Moses and the other departing players:

“We thank them immensely for their contributions to the club this season and wish them the very best in their future careers.”

Moses, now a free agent, will be evaluating his options as the summer transfer window approaches, with the 33-year-old still believed to have the quality and experience to contribute at a competitive level.

Alongside Moses, Tim, Jameson, Kal, and Josh were also released as part of Luton Town’s off-season changes.
