Remo Stars Fall to Wikki Tourists as Struggles Continue in NPFL

Holders Remo Stars FC continued their poor run of form after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Wikki Tourists FC in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash in Bauchi on Saturday.

The hosts raced into a 2-0 lead in the first half courtesy of strikes from Jonathan Mairiga and Hassan Musa.

The Sky Blue Stars responded after the break, pulling one back through Samson Olasupo in the 82nd minute, but it proved insufficient to prevent another setback.

The victory lifted Wikki Tourists to 14th position on the log with 32 points from 27 matches, three points clear of the relegation zone.

Remo Stars, meanwhile, remain in the drop zone with 27 points, three points adrift of safety.

Elsewhere, Warri Wolves FC and Barau FC played out a goalless draw.

Warri Wolves sit 10th on the table with 35 points, while Barau FC occupy 12th position, also on 35 points.
