Magnut aims to leverage Plateau United’s win over Rangers for strong finish

By Wale Mustapha

Plateau United’s Technical Adviser, Mbwas Magnut, has expressed optimism after his side’s surprise victory over Enugu Rangers on Thursday in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter.

The Peace Boys claimed all three points in a hard-fought clash with the Flying Antelopes, a win that extended Plateau United’s unbeaten run to four games and boosted their position on the league table.

An upbeat Magnut was quick to highlight the importance of the narrow win, believing it would provide his team with the confidence to finish the season strongly.

“The victory means a lot to us because we were really down for many reasons, but we are gradually picking up the points,” Magnut said in his post-match interview.

“The win over Rangers will make us feel more comfortable and give us the momentum to finish the season strong.”

Following the win, Plateau United moved up to 11th position on the NPFL standings with 41 points from 31 matches.
