Manchester City poised to decide on Nigerian teen Angelo Agbejoye after trials

By Oluwadamilola Olaleye

Manchester City are reportedly nearing a decision on Nigerian teenage prospect Angelo Agbejoye, who is currently undergoing trials with the Premier League giants.

The highly rated 18-year-old winger has been impressing at City’s academy after previous trial spells with AIK Stockholm in Sweden and Hannover 96 in Germany earlier this year, according to reports from Africa Foot.

Agbejoye, who currently plays for Grassrunners FC in Nigeria, has drawn attention for his exceptional technical ability, flair on the ball, and creative attacking instincts.

Scouts at the Etihad Stadium are said to be particularly impressed by his combination of speed, skill, and tactical awareness, attributes that could make him a valuable addition to City’s growing international academy roster.

If Manchester City decides to proceed following the trial assessments, Agbejoye would join a select group of young African talents being groomed at one of Europe’s most competitive youth setups.

A move that could significantly accelerate his development and showcase the Premier League club’s commitment to scouting and nurturing emerging talent from across the continent.
