Nigeria National League, NNL side, Sokoto United have secured the services of former assistant Coach of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, Mansur Abdullahi as their coach for the new season.
The experienced football tactician was unveiled on Friday in Sokoto with the mandate to help the club secure promotion to the apex league in Nigeria.
Mansur who has handled Warri Wolves and Bayelsa Queens in the past was excited with the challenge and has promised to give his all to achieve the target.
“I am ready to deliver on this mandate. However, only teamwork can make us succeed,” Abdullahi told media.
“So, while I handle the coaching aspect, the management must play its part by motivating the players. To win matches, a lot of things are involved so I am not going to do it alone. For me this is a new challenge and I am ready to give it my best shot.
“As far back as 2015, I served as assistant chief coach in Plateau United and I was instrumental to their promotion to the NPFL. Today, I am more experienced and I can do much more.”
