Nigeria duo of Terem Moffi and Innocent Bonke were impressive for their Ligue 1 side, Lorient on Sunday as they recorded a remarkable 2-1 comeback win at Anger.
Both were instrumental in the victory which further keep Lorient’s hope of securing European football next season. Anger took the lead in the opening 10 minutes as Senegalese Ibrahima Sima smashed home from close range.
The hosts could have double their lead before half time when Lorient defense was caught napping but Bonke put his body on the line to deny Batista Mendy from scoring.
Lorient woke up and took the game to their hosts with ferocious attacks initiated by Terem Moffi and Dango Outtarra but were denied by Anger’s keeper, Paul Bernadoni.
They kept on forcing Anger to series of errors in viral areas that would soon count for Lorient.  A calamitous turn of play saw goalscorer Sima head the ball into his own net from a fine corner kick with 11 minutes to end the game.
Anger came close to regaining their lead a minute later, following a brilliant solo effort by Nabil Bentaleb, whose effort from edge of the box smashed off the right post.
The hosts would then succumbed to old ways of conceding late in a game, this time in the 88th minutes through Enzo Le Fee’s superb shot, which lodged in the top corner and left Bernardoni helpless
The dramatic comeback win has handed Lorient a first victory in seven Ligue 1 games, which has left Angers continue to slump in the relegation zone.
Lorient are now tied on same points (31) with fifth place Rennes but has played a game more than the Rennes.
