Mohammed Magin admits Niger Tornadoes were second best in 3SC loss

By Wale Mustapha

Niger Tornadoes head coach, Mohammed Magin, has acknowledged that his side were outplayed in their 3-1 defeat to Shooting Stars in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter in Ibadan on Sunday.

The Ikon Allah Boys struggled throughout the match, with goals from Ayodeji Bamidele, Anthony Okachi, and Samuel Okon securing a 3-1 win for the Oluyole Warriors as Sunday Williams netted the only goal for Tornadoes.

Magin admitted that his team gave too much space to their opponents, allowing Shooting Stars to dominate proceedings.

Despite the defeat, he remained resolute, urging his players to focus on their upcoming matches.

“We didn’t come here to lose, but football can be unpredictable,” Magin said after the match.

“We will accept the result in good faith and start planning for our next game.”

Looking ahead, Niger Tornadoes will face Akwa United in their next fixture, which will take place in Uyo.
