Montpellier forward Jerome Adams eager for Super Eagles invitation

By Saheed Afolabi

Montpellier forward Jerome Adams is hoping for an opportunity to represent the Nigeria national team, despite stiff competition for a spot in the Super Eagles.

The 24-year-old striker, who has impressed with his club, faces a challenge in breaking into the national team due to the influx of top-tier strikers already in the Super Eagles.

Nevertheless, Adams remains optimistic and focused on continuing his growth at the club level, keeping his dream of wearing the Super Eagles jersey alive.

“In as much as it is a dream for every Nigerian footballer to play for the Super Eagles, which is true for me as well, I try to focus on what I can do for my club and continue to work hard on my game, which is very important,” Adams told Tribal Football.

He views representing Nigeria as a great privilege and is determined not to give up on his dream.

“It would be a privilege to represent Nigeria at the senior level. So, I just wait for the time,” Adams added.

So far this season, Adams has scored three goals and provided one assist in 11 matches for Montpellier, and he will be hoping his performances continue to catch the eye of Super Eagles selectors.
