More money for Enyimba, others as CAF reveals more incentives for African clubs

The Confederation of African Football, CAF has revealed an upgrade of participatory funds for the eight clubs that will compete in the inaugural African Football League, AFL, nigeriafootball.ng can confirm.
The increment will see the eight teams receiving the sum of $900,000 from the quarterfinal stages as against $500,000 earlier stated.
The eventual semi finalists will get $1.7million each while the finalists will smile home with a whooping sum of $2.8million.
The increment was disclosed on Monday after CAF announced the cash prize of $500,000 to USM Algiers for winning the Super Cup and $250,000 to Al Ahly for finishing second.
Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL champions Enyimba is among the selected pioneer clubs for the AFL.
They will face Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the quarter-final slated for October with first leg billed for Aba before both teams will lock horns for the return fixture in Morocco..
