Moses Bako hosts WAFA and FEFCAN Executives at Lagos Residence

Renowned women’s football advocate and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Soccer Queens, Moses Bako Nagogo, welcomed executives of the Female Football Academies Proprietors ( FEFAP) organizers of Women Accredited Football Academies (WAFA) league and the Federation of Female Football Clubs Association of Nigeria (FEFCAN) to his Lagos residence.
Bako, who dedicated his new Lagos home in August 2024, stressed the importance of collaboration between his organization and the grassroots women’s football bodies.
He noted that his enhanced presence in Lagos, alongside his ongoing commitments in Lokoja, signals a new chapter for women’s football development driven by strategic partnerships.
“I believe women’s football has untapped potential, and with the right partnerships, we can elevate the game to unprecedented heights,” Bako said.
Representatives of WAFA and FEFCAN, Mr. Jaiyeola Damilare and Alhaji Yinus Shokoya, applauded Bako’s initiative and expressed optimism about the positive impact his presence in Lagos will have on the sport. Alhaji Yinus Shokoya praised Bako’s efforts, saying, “We believe your coming to Lagos will be a great blessing to us, as a lot has been heard about your exploits in women’s football.”
Mr. Jaiyeola added: “Collaborating with someone as passionate as Moses Bako inspires confidence that we can achieve great milestones together.”
Discussions during the meeting explored unity and synergy as powerful tools to unlock the full potential of women’s football, focusing on driving growth and ensuring collective success.
Notable attendees included: Olajide Royal, Soneye Adeboye, Abiola Olawale (English), Oluwafemi Michael, Micheal Bagbe, Job Olalekan Samson, Adeyemi Toluope and Mr. Adeyoju Adetunji.
The meeting is expected to give birth to competitions aimed at discovering and nurturing talents for various women’s national teams.
