Naples fan surprise with Nigerians treatment of Victor Osimhen

A Naples resident, Pablo, working in Abuja, Nigeria, has expressed a huge surprise after seeing Nigerians unmoved by the presence of Victor Osimhen.
Pablo who has witnessed the people of Napoli go head over heels whenever Victor Osimhen walks on the streets of the city was expecting to see the same scenario in Nigeria but was surprised with what he saw.
According to him, there is always a security problem when Osimhen shows up on the street of Naples.
Osimhen who is the leading scorer in Serie A this season with 21 goals was part of the Super Eagles team that lost 1-0 to Guinea-Bissau in Abuja on Friday and Pablo was in attendance to witness the reception the striker received.
Pablo described how the striker had established a relationship with fans of the club and residents of Naples.
“I am sure Osimhen has a problem in Naples because people love him so much. He can’t walk in the streets; it will be a security problem if he goes around,” Pablo told Sports Brief.
“If you go to Naples and tell them you’re the brother of Osimhen, everywhere will be free for you. I’m very disappointed with the Nigerian people because I live here [Nigeria] and people are not so much in love with Osimhen.
“Nobody is in love with the Italian league. They just love him [in Napoli]. This is his third year in Naples and he is a simple guy who helps the Nigerian community close to the train station in Naples.
“He will be in the history of the club if we win the league and imagine if we go higher in the Champions League as well.”
