NFF announces 21-woman squad to represent the Falconets at the U-20 World Cup

The Nigeria Soccer Federation have introduced the Falconets 21-player roster for the upcoming 2022 FIFA U20 Girls’s World Cup finals going down in Costa Rica.

 

The Nigeria squad departed the shores of the nation on Thursday night for the event.

 

 

An evaluation of the squad listing revealed that three goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders and 6 strikers had been on the airplane to Costa Rica.

 

Nigeria will play France, Canada and Korea Republic in Group C of the 16-nation event beginning on August 10.

 

Coach Chris Danjuma’s group are aiming to win the FIFA U20 Girls’s World Cup ultimate for the primary time, having completed runners-up on two events (2010 and 2014) and had been the fourth greatest group in 2012.

 

Oluwatosin Demehin will captain the Falconets throughout the nineteen-day event.
