NFF President confident Super Eagles can win fourth Africa Cup of Nations title

President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau is confident that Jose Peseiro and his players secure a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title in Cote d’Ivoire.
The West Africans are make their 20th appearance at the 34th edition of the continent’s biggest showpiece as the NFF held a Send Forth ceremony alongside Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos on Tuesday night.
The team which landed in Abidjan on Wednesday will face Equatorial Guinea in their first group game on Sunday, January 14, 2024 and Gusau believes the team have what it takes to win this year’s African crown.
“I have spoken to the Head Coach and the Captain, and also a good number of the players, and they have assured me of their determination to push strongly for triumph in Cote d’Ivoire, thereby winning the trophy for a fourth time,” he said.
He added that the NFF is very grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving funds for the team’s preparation and participation at the continental finals.
