The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will stage its 81st Annual General Assembly in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Saturday, with proceedings scheduled for the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, Orita-Mefa.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is expected to officially declare the assembly open.
Among the dignitaries invited are Chairman of the National Sports Commission Mallam Shehu Dikko, its Director General Hon. Bukola Olopade, as well as the heads of the National Assembly’s sports committees — Senator Abdul Ningi (Senate) and Hon. Kabiru Amadu (House of Representatives).
Former NFF President Amaju Pinnick, ex-First Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi, and former General Secretaries Ambassador Fanny Amun and Dr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba are also on the guest list.
The gathering will bring together chairmen and secretaries of football associations from the 36 states and the FCT, members of the NFF Executive Committee, league management officials, and representatives of referees, coaches, and players’ unions.
NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau will deliver the welcome address, while General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi is billed to present the Secretariat’s activity report.
The business session will cover the review of the Federation’s financial statements, approval of the 2025 budget, and deliberations on proposed amendments to the NFF Statutes and regulations.
Other agenda items include the appointment of an independent auditor, consideration of proposals from members, and discussions on any additional matters tabled by the Executive Committee.

Prior to his role at Goal.com, Samuel freelanced for various print and broadcast media outlets in Nigeria, including Graphics Newspaper, Radio Nigeria, Grace FM, and Savid Newspaper. His extensive experience and expertise led to his appointment to the Nigeria Football Federation's Standing Committee on Women's Football Development from 2016 to 2018. Since February 2018, Samuel has been the Social Media Manager for Nigeria's women's national teams.In 2019, Samuel joined the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a women's football content contributor and was promoted to Women's Football Editor in 2021. His contributions to women's football continued as he worked as a Media Consultant for Content Creation and Editorials at the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League. Currently, Samuel also serves as the spokesman for the Nigeria Women Football League, further solidifying his influence and dedication to the growth of women's football in Africa.
