Nigeria blow as Samuel Chukwueze to join Victor Osimhen on injury sidelines list

Samuel Chukwueze is set join fellow compatriot, Victor Osimhen on the treatment table.
Osimhen has been ruled out for six weeks following an injury sustained during the international break.
Nigeria tricky winger, Chukwueze limped off during the 2-2 stalemate with Saudi Arabia and he’s set to miss some games at club level.
The AC Milan playmaker wasn’t in action against Mozambique due to the injury sustained against the Green Falcons.
Milan however revealed that Chukwueze sustained a lesion to the femoral bicep injury which could see him miss up to four weeks of action.
The Super Eagles forward will be absent against Juventus, Champions League game against PSG, Napoli, Udinese and Lecce in the Serie A.
Chukwueze has made seven appearances for Milan this season and he’s yet to find his scoring boot for the Italian side.
He has scored four goals in 28 games for Nigeria and has produced some inspirational performances.
Chukwueze might feature for the Super Eagles if he recovers ahead of time against Lesotho on November 13 and Zimbabwe on November 20.
Nigeria will face host, Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea Bissau in group A of the 2024 AFCON that will take place from January 11 to February 13.
