Nigeria forward Edna Imade scored one of her side’s goals as second-tier Spanish Primera Federacion Women side, Cacereno secured a 2-0 win over Deportivo La Coruña on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Nigeria-eligible player scored the first goal of the match in the 22nd minute to put Cacereno in the driving seat at halftime.
Reefe made it 2-0 for the visitors in the 84th minute at the Estadio Municipal de Riazor, La Coruña.
Imade has scored eight league goals for Ernesto Sánchez’s side this season and is the joint-top scorer in the league alongside Espanyol forward Adriana Martin.
The duo are a goal better than Ariana Arias (FC Barcelona B), Ona Baradad (FC Barcelona B), and Carlota Suarez Crespo (Deportivo La Coruña).
Imade is a forward with a great physique, speed, tackling, dribbling, and a powerful shot.
Raised in Seville, she started playing for F.B.Carmona at the age of 6, in men’s teams.  She subsequently went through the C.D.  Santa Ana Women’s futsal for three years. She signed in 2017 for A. D. Nervión Femenino, where she played for two years and scored 94 goals during that time.
In the 2019/2020 season, she made her debut at second-tier Reto Iberdrola with Málaga C.F. Femenino, a team in which she was for two seasons.
Last season, she scored nine goals with the green elastic, eight in the league, and 1 in the Queen’s Cup.
The victory on Saturday lifted Cacereno to the top of the table with 31 points and a superior goal difference ahead of Deportivo La Coruña. They will next face Granadilla Tenerife B on January 29, 2023.
