Former Nigeria forward Obafemi Martin has advised Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen on his next move from Italian Serie A side, Napoli.
The former Inter Milan player has admonished Osimhen to ignore moves from suitors like Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG and Bayern Munich.
Osimhen is attracting interest from some big clubs in Europe after playing crucial role in helping the Neapolitans to its first Scudetto title in 33 years last season and winning the top goal scorer prize in the league.
Martins who is popularly known as ‘Obagoal’ urged his compatriot to sign for a club where he will not struggle.
“It depends on the club he’s going to. But I don’t want him to go to a club where he will struggle. He needs to keep the momentum going,” Martins told Brila FM.
“To err on the side of caution, I would suggest that he stays back in Napoli at least for one more season,”
Osimhen is currently the highest scoring African player in Serie A with 47 goals, overtaking George Weah’s record.
He finished last season as top scorer with 26 goals, to be the first African to achieve this feat.
