Nigerian defender Osinachi Ohale made a scoring return for CF Pachuca Femenil, netting in the Mexican champions’ 3–1 comeback victory over Santos Laguna on Sunday in the Liga MX Femenil.

Santos Laguna took an early lead in the 4th minute through Mayra Santana, but Pachuca captain Veronica Corral equalized in the 16th minute, and Nina Nicosia put the hosts ahead in the 32nd minute.

Fresh from winning the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with Nigeria in Morocco, Ohale was introduced in the 70th minute for Andrea Pereira and struck her side’s third goal in the 79th minute—her first league goal of the season.

Compatriot Chinwendu Ihezuo, also part of Nigeria’s WAFCON-winning squad, featured as a substitute, replacing Maria Mauleon in the 63rd minute.

With the win, Pachuca sit sixth in the standings with 10 points from five matches, trailing leaders Club América by five points.

They next face Querétaro on August 13, 2025.
