Nike unveils Nigeria’s 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup home and away kits

Nike has released the home and away kits of Nigeria’s senior women’s national team ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup this summer.
The American kit manufacturing company dropped the Super Falcons jerseys among its 13 kit-sponsored women’s national teams competiting at the upcoming global showpiece in Australia and New Zealand.
Besides Nigeria, Nike released the kits of Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, South Korea, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, and the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT).
For the Super Falcons jersey, the home kit comes in an electric green; features a “bespoke pattern on the cuffs and sock ribbing inspired by traditional Nigerian artwork and textiles.”
Nigeria’s away kit is a darker forest green that “combines modern shapes with traditional prints; the up-close details on the graphic pattern pay homage to the team’s ‘Super Falcons’ name.”
Randy Waldrum’s side is expected to put on the kits at the World Cup where it will trade tackles with Australia, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland in Group B.
The team will hope to break its quarter-final feat achieved at the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
At the last World Cup under the tutelage of Thomas Dennerby, Nigeria reached the Round of 16, losing to Germany.
Waldrum had endure a poor run of form before ending a seven-match consecutive defeat with a 1-0 win over Costa Rica and will hope to improve on their resurgence against Haiti and New Zealand this week.
