NPFL: Akinade Onigbinde hits out at players after Doma United heavy loss to Plateau United
By Wale Mustapha
Head Coach of Doma United, Akinade Onigbinde has blamed his players for lack of concentration and focus in their humiliation at the hands of Plateau United on Sunday.
The Savannah Tigers were humbled by 4-0 loss in their Matchday 29 of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL encounter decided at the Jos Stadium.
The visitors failed to replicate the form that saw them beat Akwa United last Wednesday in Uyo and a disappointed Onigbinde believed that lack of communication was the reason for his team’s defeat.
“There is a communication gap between the goalkeeper, the defenders and the strikers which cost us the game,” he stated in a post-match interview after game in Jos.
“We have to go back home and prepare for the next game against Remo Stars. We have to work towards achieving the maximum points in the game.”
The defeat has seen Doma slipped further down to 12th on the NPFL log and they will hope to get back to winning ways when they host Remo Stars in Gombe.
