Two rescheduled games in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) took place in Benin City and Aba on Wednesday.
At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Bendel Insurance edged Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) 1-0.
It took a late goal from Michael Enaruma in the 94th minute to separate both sides.
The loss ended 3SC’s unbeaten start to the campaign, while Insurance picked their first win of the season.
The Benin City-based side occupies the 10th position with five points after four games, while the Oluyole Warrior sits in 11th place with the same point.
Meanwhile, Enyimba FC pipped Akwa United 1-0 in the other rescheduled league game in Aba.
Austin Onyemaechi converted the all-important goal for the People’s Elephant.
The win pushed Nigeria’s sole representative on the continent to the third position on the log with nine points after four games.
The team also returned to winning ways after last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Rivers United.
Akwa United, on the other hand, seats in the 16th place with two points.
