NPFL champions Rangers get huge cash reward from Enugu Governor Mbah

After a successful 2023/2024 season where Rangers International FC emerged as winners of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), the reward for the success is coming in for players and officials in terms of cash prizes.
Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah has announced a cash reward of N50 million Naira in addition to non-cash gifts to the club at the State House on Sunday.
The governor hosted players and officials of the title-winning Flying Antelopes to a treat at the State House where he announced the cash reward.
Earlier, reports confirmed that a prize money of N150 million was paid to Rangers for emerging champions of the 2023/2024 NPFL season.
Strategic partners to the NPFL, GTI Asset Management and Trust Limited announced that it has disbursed the prize money for the league last week.
Rangers won the league title with 70 points after 38 games ahead of Remo Stars which qualified them as well as the Sky Blue Stars for the 2024/2025 CAF Champions League.
They will now focus on preparation for their Champions League game against US Zilimadjou of Comoros in the First Preliminary round. The first leg is billed for August 16 to 18 while the return leg is scheduled for August 23 to 25, 2024.
