NPFL: Edith Agoye livid over Sunshine Stars slip up against Heartland

By Wale Mustapha
Technical Adviser of Sunshine Stars, Edith Agoye is disappointed over his side’s unfortunate 1-1 draw with Heartland in the Nigeria Premier Football League match in Akure on Saturday.
The Owena Whales could not replicate their last home form against Kano Pillars with the visit of the Naze Millionaires.
Patrick Nwogbaga scored midway into the second half to cancel out Michael Olulasi’s first half goal from the spot.
Sunshine stars eventually had a chance to restore the lead with 11 eleven minutes to end the game but Yusuf Ibrahim failed to convert another penalty.
Agoye in his post match interview rued missed chances by his players just as he urged fans to believing in the team.
“It’s not a result we wanted, it’s the game we could have won easily, we dominated and controlled it, unfortunately it ended it like that,”
“But that’s the game of football, we can go elsewhere and pick the points we lost at home under a calm atmosphere like the Akure township stadium, it’s possible.”
Sunshine Stars will next travel to Jos next weekend to face Plateau United in their next encounter.
