Kano Pillars Technical Adviser, Evans Ogenyi, has expressed confidence that his team will grow stronger as the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season unfolds.
The Pyramid Boys kicked off their campaign with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Abia Warriors in a tightly contested Matchday One clash, despite showing flashes of promise.
Looking ahead to their Matchday Two fixture against Wikki Tourists at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday, Ogenyi remains upbeat about his side’s prospects.
“The team is gelling well, and you must bear in mind that there is no perfect team anywhere in the world,” Ogenyi told Kano Pillars media.
“We believe as we are playing games we will become better and stronger. I don’t have doubts over what we can achieve this season.”
The four-time NPFL champions are aiming to bounce back strongly as they seek to reclaim their place among the league’s title contenders.
