NPFL: Gbenga Ogunbote assures of better Shooting Stars after Plateau United win

Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars, Gbenga Ogunbote has promised to improve the club to a more contending status despite their bright start to new Nigeria Premier Football League, (NPFL) season.
The Oluyole Warriors started the 2023/2024 NPFL campaign on a positive note. beating Plateau United 2-1 at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Saturday.
Despite their nervy victory over the Jos based outfit, the Enyimba coach laments his side’s inability to score more, stressing that a lot is still needed to be done in the scoring area to make the Ibadan based side much formidable.
“Before now, we have been crying that we were not been able to score goals, but now that we’ve started with two goals, we have to improve on it,” Ogunbote told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“I was thinking we would get some goals, even before the first goal came but unfortunately, you can see the anxiety in the players. The anxiety in my boys robbed us the opportunity of scoring goals before the first one”.
“Be that as it may, it wasn’t a bad one, give it to the team, we can always improve on what we have built.”
Shooting Stars will be guest to Insurance FC in Benin for the next matchday clash.
