NPFL: Kabir Dogo plays down Kwara United’s relegation troubles

By Wale Mustapha

Technical Adviser of Kwara United, Kabir Dogo, has expressed optimism that his team will avoid relegation from the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Despite a 2-0 defeat to Plateau United on Matchday 35 in Jos, Dogo remains confident about his side’s prospects, emphasizing that the Harmony Boys, could still secure valuable points in their remaining three fixtures.

“We are still on course as far as the league is concerned; we are looking for survival,” Dogo told newsmen after the game in Jos.

“We are hopeful of getting good results in our away game against Lobi Stars. We are going back to work on ourselves ahead of the Kano Pillars match.”

Kwara United currently sits in 13th position on the NPFL table with 45 points, just two points above the relegation zone. The team will host Kano Pillars on Wednesday in their Matchday 36 encounter, aiming to bolster their chances of staying in the top flight.

With three crucial matches left, the Harmony Boys will need to muster all their strength and determination to secure the points necessary to remain in the NPFL.
