NPFL: Kabiru Dogo backs Kwara United players to silence ‘stubborn’ Lobi Stars
By Wale Mustapha
Embattled Technical Adviser of Kwara United, Kabir Dogo remained positive his boys will give their best to ensure victory when they host Lobi Stars in the Matchday 17 of Nigeria Premier Football League clash on Sunday.
The North Central Derby billed for Kwara State Stadium Complex will complete the three match ultimatum given to Dogo whose side have not been consistent with positive results since the start of the season.
The visit of the Pride of Markudi – league title contenders may have come too early for the Harmony Boys and Dogo admitted that Lobi are formidable and stubborn side but is still upbeat for a convincing outing for his team.
“We are not putting too much pressure on ourselves, it’s a usual approach to all games but we have prepared well for this knowing fully well that Lobi are formidable and stubborn side,” Dogo told media.
“We’ve done the necessary things in preparation for the match and I believe in the players to give their best and win this match, not only for the team but for themselves.”
A win from the match will shoot Kwara up on the log and bring a relief for Dogo and his boys just as it will dampen Lobi’s aspirations to remain close to nipping the title.
