NPFL: Kabiru Dogo pleads for patience over Nasarawa United disappointing start

By Saheed Afolabi

Nasarawa United head coach Kabiru Dogo is appealing for forgiveness from fans following the club’s disappointing start to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2024/2025 season.

The Solid Miners have struggled, with three matches resulting in consecutive draws against Shooting Stars and Niger Tornadoes, along with a 4-3 home defeat to El Kanemi Warriors.

Dogo urged supporters not to lose faith, promising that the team’s performance will improve. “I want to plead with our loyal supporters and fans never to give up on us. We will bounce back stronger and better,” he stated during a press conference in Lafia.

Looking ahead to their next match against Ikorodu City, Dogo expressed optimism about securing a win. “In our next game against Ikorodu City in Lagos, we can get a win there. Never rely on the result to judge our performance; we are still a work in progress,” he emphasized.

The Solid Miners will face Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan on Saturday, September 28.
