Enugu Rangers crash out of CAF Champions League against Sagrada Esperança

Rangers International FC’s hopes of progressing in the 2024/2025 CAF Champions League were dashed after a 3-1 loss to Sagrada Esperança in the return leg of the second Preliminary Round.
After securing a 1-0 lead in the first leg, the Flying Antelopes were unable to hold on as Alexandre Fernando opened the scoring for Sagrada just six minutes into the match.
Mussa extended the lead to 2-0 in the 33rd minute, but Rangers responded with a goal from an unknown player in the 37th minute.
However, Jamie Pimpao sealed the victory for Sagrada with a goal in the 67th minute, bringing the aggregate score to 3-2.
With this defeat, Rangers International exits the competition, while Sagrada Esperança advances to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
