NPFL: Lobi Stars Appoint Samuel Addingi as Acting Technical Adviser

By Wale Mustapha

Relegation-threatened Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Lobi Stars, have appointed experienced coach Samuel Addingi as the club’s acting Technical Adviser for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

The appointment comes after the resignation of Daniel Amokachi on Monday, following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Katsina United last weekend.

Lobi Stars, currently languishing at the bottom of the NPFL standings with just 22 points from 24 matches, will now look to Addingi, who has previously been part of the technical staff, to help rescue their campaign and avoid relegation.

In the interim, veteran goalkeeper Tar Akombo will take charge of the team for their Matchday 25 fixture against Shooting Stars in Ibadan.

Addingi, who was reported to be with the team in Ibadan, is expected to fully take over before the club’s next match at the weekend.
