By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
A late goal from Remo Stars captain, Nduka Junior ensured that the visitors shared spoils with Doma United in the last Matchday 30 game at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe on Wednesday.
Andrew Majalisa opened the scoring for Doma United in the 45th minute but the host could not hold on to the slim.
Nduka equalised late on in the additional minutes of the second half to take the Sky Blue Stars to the fourth position with 50 points.
Doma United sits in the 13th position with 38 points after 30 games.
The Ikenne-Remo-based side has an outstanding match against Rivers United.
They will next travel to Jos to face Plateau United in the venue where they picked a 2-1 win last season en route to a second-place finish and qualification for the CAF Champions League.
The fast-rising club in the NPFL finished third two seasons ago and qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Last season, it was a second-placed finish that sealed CAF Champions League qualification for the first time in the club’s history.
The club is in pole position to win the league this season but will have to ward off the likes of Enugu Rangers, Enyimba FC, and Lobi Stars which are ahead of them.
