NPFL: New manager Kennedy Boboye confident of Heartland resurgence

Newly appointed technical adviser of Heartland FC, Kennedy Boboye believes the Naze Millionaires have the quality to bounce back to reckoning and make significant impact in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The Owerri based side staged return back to Nigerian top-flight last season after their relegation to the lower division two seasons ago but had endured a dismal start to the new season, having failed to register a single win in nine consecutive games.
The unimpressive outing led to the sacking of Christain Obi who tinkered the team from the start and former Plateau United handler talks up their chances of staking a quick return to good form.
“I am ready for the task. I had different thoughts when I was contacted initially because of the club’s position on the league table but with what I have seen on the ground I am certain we can pull through,” Boboye told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“We need everyone to get to work. You are going to be seeing a new mentality in the team. The players have assured me there would be changes and I am excited to be here.”
Boboye’s first match as Heartland coach will be an Oriental Derby against champions, Enyimba at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri on Saturday.
