NPFL: Onyekachi Okafor reveals Heartland plans for Remo Stars clash

By Wale Mustapha
Heartland striker, Onyekachi Okafor, has expressed the team’s determination to avoid relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.
The Naze Millionaires currently sit 19th on the NPFL log after 35 games and face the imminent threat of relegation.
To avoid this fate, Heartland must deliver an outstanding performance and secure a positive result in their upcoming match against Remo Stars on Wednesday in Ikenne for Matchday 36.
Okafor conveyed the team’s optimism and commitment to fighting for victory in their remaining matches, emphasizing the importance of winning all three remaining games to keep their hopes of staying in the top flight alive.
“We are focused on our three remaining games. To win all of them if possible, we will say that we fight and not just giving up like that. The only plan is to win,” Okafor told DAILY POST.
Heartland’s players are acutely aware that a defeat in the next encounter would confirm their relegation to the lower division, and they are fully committed to avoiding such an outcome.
