Kwara United Technical Adviser Ashifat Suleiman has called on his players to quickly put behind them Sunday’s goalless home draw against Shooting Stars and shift their focus to the challenges ahead.
The Harmony Boys dominated the Matchday 15 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter in Ilorin but failed to convert their superiority into goals, allowing the Oluyole Warriors to leave with a point.
Suleiman acknowledged that his side fell short of expectations, particularly in their creative play.
“We weren’t at our best, and we could have done better,” he admitted. “However, this is football, and we have to move forward. Our focus now is on regrouping and coming back stronger in our next game.”
The coach also promised improvements in the team’s midfield mobility as they look to rediscover their rhythm.
Kwara United are now winless in their last three league outings and sit 12th on the table with 18 points from 14 matches.
Suleiman and his squad will next travel to Kano, where they face Barau FC in their upcoming fixture.
