NPFL transfer: Enugu Rangers sign wonderkid Kelechi Edeh from MTA Sports
By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
Ahead of the 2023/2024 campaign in the Nigerian top-flight, Rangers International unveiled a young player Kelechi Edeh as clubs are beefing up their squad for the Nigeria Premier Football League season.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side announced the signing of Wonder Kid and magical winger  from MTA Sports FC.
Edeh has sealed a two-year deal with the Enugu-based side which will see him stay at the former league winners till the 2024/2025 season.

The Flying Antelopes continued their build-up for the soon-to-start NPFL 2023/2024 season with a friendly fixture against Oriental Rivals, Heartland FC at the Awka City Stadium which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Enterprising midfield sensation, Joel Okoro, shot the Enugu side into the lead on the stroke of half-time after being fed sumptuously by a Chukwudi Nwaodu defense-splitting pass on 44 minutes but the ‘Naze Millionaires’ were soon back on level terms on 53 minutes.
Tunde Oyewole was left unmarked to stamp home a corner kick.
In a related development, players and officials of the team have successfully undergone medical tests ahead of the start of the 2023/2024 football season that is expected to kick off on September 9, 2023 across ten centers.

The exercise took place at a well-respected medical facility in the Coal City under the supervision of the team doctor, Dr. Wen Udorji, who described the tests which were carried out to fulfill one of the requirements for club registration.

Rangers will welcome Doma United during their season opener and attempt to surpass last season’s feat of fighting relegation with the arrival of talented Edeh.
