NPFL Transfer: Lobi Stars snap up ex-HiFL cult hero Asen Shater

Lobi Stars have secured the signing of one of the brightest talents that made it out of the Higher Institution Football League, HiFL in recent times, Asen Shater.
Shater who has signed the dotted lines with the Pride of Benue will be given the chance to continue his football development in the coming NPFL season.
Shater was the cynosure of all eyes in 2018 HiFL season as he guided University of Agriculture, Makurdi known as UAM Tilers to title.
The graduate of Chemistry Education also the Most Valuable Player prize the following season of the HiFL when the Tilers emerged runners up.
He stole the show of the 2019 season with his trademark free kicks that got most followers of the institution league talking with high hopes on making it big in football.
An elated Shater expressed gratitude to Lobi Stars for the opportunities to sprout in his football dreams just as he promised to make the best of it.
He also paid glowing tribute to his alma mata and those behind HiFL initiative which has given him and other the chance to showcased their talents apart from educational prowess they possessed.
“I feel honored and thankful for this chance, its what’s I’ve been dreaming of and now that it has come and I will not let Lobi Stars and everyone who believed in me down,” Shater told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“I’m settling down here and the family has been amazing, I’m learning very fast from the coaches and the players have been very accommodating, its like I’ve been here for months.
“There are many more exceptional footballers like me in the universities that can play at higher levels of football, big thanks to HiFL for the chance to some of us to showcase our talents and I will always be grateful to my school for the opportunities to be part of the school team and living my dream now. “
Lobi Stars finished 16th in 2021/2022 NPFL season and will hope to better their performance in the coming 2022/23 season with the acquisition of Shater.
