Bayelsa Queens FC have bolstered their squad with the addition of two new players ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership campaign.

The Yenagoa-based club confirmed the arrival of attacker Ojiyovwi Keseina Tessy and defensive midfielder Nwachukwu Prisca as part of their preparations for the new season.

Tessy joins Bayelsa Queens from Nasarawa Amazons, while Prisca arrives from Imo Strikers after spending the 2024/25 season on loan at Heartland of Owerri.

Prisca was also part of the Nigeria U-20 women’s team that recently faced Rwanda in international action.

Established in 2000, Bayelsa Queens play their home matches at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Ovom, Yenagoa.

The club has continued to build a strong following and remains committed to its ambition of winning more laurels for Bayelsa State.

They are NWFL Premiership holders and reached the final of the 2025 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League.

The team remained the best campaigner in the CAF Women’s Champions League with third place finish in 2022 but won’t participate at the 2025 edition after their second place finish at WAFU-B Tournament.
