Nkechi Agams eyes more NWFL goals with Abia Angels after Adamawa Queens strike

By Wale Mustapha
Talented Abia Angels’ striker, Nkechi Agams has set sight on scoring more goals that will be enough to help her side achieve greatness in the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League Premiership.
Agams converted a stoppage time penalty to give Angels a deserved victory over stubborn Adamawa Queens in the Matchday Five of the NWFL topflight in Aba on Wednesday.
The former Nigeria youth international could have gotten her goal from the open but couldn’t find the target and was denied by a resolute Adamawa defense.
Agams who has scored two goals in four games for Abia Angels expressed delight to have won the match with her foal just as she’s looking forward to get more as the season progresses.
“It feels so good and relieving to win the match, we did well to earn it, though we could have scored more from open play, I guess it wasn’t meant to be for us but overall it was a deserved win for us,” Agams told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“Yes, I’m happy to score again, I’m, looking forward to get more, as you know we still have more games to be played.
“I’m willing to add more goals with the help of my team mates and God’s grace but most importantly, I want to help Abia Angels do well in the season,” she concluded.
Abia Angels will be on the road for their next game against group leaders Edo Queens in Benin.
