NWFL Premiership: Tosan Blankson sets ambitious target for Rivers Angels

Rivers Angels new head coach, Tosan Blankson has set a huge target to achieve for the former champions in the coming Nigeria Women Football League Premiership.

The former Delta Queens gaffer described the Jewels of Rivers as a glamorous club which he will aspire to bring more success to the club ahead of the new season.

He believes the Port Harcourt based side are title contenders and he’s ready to measure up to the challenge ahead.

“All I can say about my appointment of Rivers Angels fc is all about Continuity. Rivers Angels fc is the glamorous Club in Nigeria. I will count myself Lucky and ready work,” Blankson told nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.

“My aspirations in Rivers Angels is to Work hard with the Players and have very good understanding with the Management and build a team that will contend with other clubs, which isn’t even new to the clubs target.

“Rivers Angels has always been a contender and not a pretender every passing season. So the expectation is same.”

Blankson lauded Delta Queens for the opportunity to lead the club and the wonderful moments shared with them.

“My stay in Delta Queens should be said to be a great time and opportunity developing my coaching career in female football,” he continued.

“All along I have been involved in coaching the male. Under the former chairman of the sports commission a lot was learnt and I will use this opportunity to thank him (Chief Tonobok Okowa) for making me who I am today in the Profession. May God Bless him.”
