Olanrewaju Kayode Sidelined for Three Weeks with Muscular Injury

Girona’s Super Eagles striker, Olanrewaju Kayode, is set to miss action for the next three weeks due to a muscular injury sustained in training, as confirmed by Girona’s official website. The Nigerian international will be unavailable for the upcoming Spanish LaLiga clash against Alaves scheduled for Monday.
Kayode, 24, has featured in 10 appearances for Girona in LaLiga, consisting of two starts and eight substitute appearances. Despite his active involvement, he is yet to find the back of the net. Girona, in their debut LaLiga season, currently holds the 12th position with 17 points from 13 games, remaining unbeaten in their last five league encounters.
The injury comes at an unfortunate time for Kayode and Girona, considering the positive momentum they have built in recent matches. The forward, formerly part of Nigeria’s U-17s and U-20s, joined Girona on a season-long loan from English Premier League club Manchester City in the summer.
As Girona aims to maintain their impressive form in the Spanish top flight, the absence of Kayode will undoubtedly present a challenge for the team. The club and fans alike will be eagerly anticipating his swift recovery and return to the pitch.
